Starting a food business – permits, rules, and regulations

When you start a food business, whether a restaurant, café, or selling food online, there are several permits, rules, and regulations to apply for and adhere to.

During this workshop, you will hear from representatives from the City of Malmö explaining everything you need to know about registering a food business, applying for a building permit, legislation on selling alcohol, and the possibility of selling food from a vehicle.

You will also hear from the City of Malmö business guide (företagslotsen) – a “one-stop shop” that helps local businesses and entrepreneurs with advice and guidance on everything regarding starting and running a business in Malmö – from information on rules and regulations to getting in contact with the right person or organization.

At the end of the workshop, there will be some networking time to meet with the municipality representatives to ask your specific questions.
